Article 4. Areas for Foreign Investment

1.  Foreign investors are not allowed to engage in the following activities:

1) cultivation,collection and sale of drugs and drug containing herbs,

2) manufacturing of military weapons and guns,

3) pornographic advertisement. 

2.  Foreign investors may  engage in the following activities only after obtaining special authorisation:

1) banking, financial and insurance services,

2) manufacturing and sale of spirits, tobacco products, chemicals and explosives,

3) establishment of hospitals, production and sale of medicines and biochemicals,

4) establishment of schools.

3.  Foreign investors may carry out all types of activities other than those prohibited by the Mongolian Law in any part of Mongolia.
