Telecommunications Networks
Article 18. Telecommunications
network for a special purposes

The State may set up special purpose
telecommunications networks for the purposes of Mongolia’s defence and
security, the maintenance of public order in Mongolia, and for use by the
State and local Governments.

Special purpose telecommunications networks
shall be protected by the State.

The Government shall make regulations
in respect of the establishment and operation of special purpose telecommunications
networks.

All the equipment and channels of the
core telecommunications network required for a special purpose telecommunications
network shall be provided by way of contract.

No transmission of information for a
special purpose shall be made through the core telecommunications network
unless the transmitting organisation has taken measures to protect the
security of that information.
