December 20, 2003. IT person of the year
Mongolian IT sectors new year was celebrated early this year on 20 December 2003 in Elite governmental ceremonial house. At this very precious moment our General director Ms B.Narantsetseg has been awarded IT researcher of the year 2003. more>>
December 10-16, 2003. On site visit “ICTs for Health services in Rural Mongolia” project
The main aim of the on site visits to each of three selected aimags Dornogibi, Gobi-Altai and Arhangai was to deliver necessary equipment for distance diagnosis to Central Hospital and the Medical College and to test prototype of the “Doctor” system developed by our software group. Seminar on “Distance learning” was organized for rural doctors, teachers and students of the medical college and health care professionals of these aimags.
May 23- 26, 2003. “Internet Use in Rural areas”seminar
Representatives from our company participated in “Internet Use in Rural areas”seminar and training which was organized jointly by MnDG and Umnogovi Local Government in Umnogovi aimag. Our staffs Mr. Batpurev and Mr. Mendbayar have introduced “Aimag”system at the seminar. more>>
May 15, 2003. “Tourism and ICT”workshop
We have participated in organizing “Tourism and ICT”workshop organized by Ministry of Infrastructure, Tourism Agency and the MnDG. Ms. Narantsetseg, General Director of InfoCon acted as a moderator in the seminar. more>>
May 6, 2003. Ms B.Narantsetseg approved as member of National Committee for ICT
Ms. Narantsetseg, General Director of InfoCon was approved as member of National Committee for ICT chaired by Prime Minister of Mongolia. She was nominated by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
April 28-30, 2003. Training on “ICT and Distance Diagnosis”
Training on “ICT and Distance Diagnosis”was jointly organized with Mongolian Health Science University. 12 doctors and medical professionals from Arkhangai, Govi-Altai, Dornod provinces and Ulaanbaatar city participated in this training. The training was organized under “ICTs for Health services in Rural of Mongolia”project framework that is funded by IDRC, Canada. Duration of this project is 2 years. InfoCon will participate as IT local consulting agency.
April 15-16, 2003. Distance Education trainer visited Terbuka Open University
Distance Education trainer Ms.Munkhzul, InfoCon visited Terbuka Open University in Indonesia to learn from its experiences. She also attended 2 weeks advanced training on DE methodology.
March 2-8, 2003. “PAN-ASIA All Partners –2003”seminar held in Vientiane, Laos
Five representatives from different organizations of Mongolia have participated in the ”PAN-ASIA All Partners–2003”seminar held in Vientiane, Laos. Ms. Narantsetseg, General Director, InfoCon participated as a panelist and made a presentation “ICT Diffusion and Impacts in Mongolia”.
January 15-20, 2003. IDRC Pilot Workshop
Our company staff has participated in IDRC Pilot Workshop: “Fundraising for Development Research Organizations”that held in Bangkok.
